PREDATOR RULES
212 Harbor Freight engine only.
Engine may be checked at any time by tech.
The air filter must be installed per factory if original is used.
The exhaust must be installed per factory if the original is used.
The engine must have a key way in the flywheel.
The engine must pass a test on the stand if asked. 5800 maximum
You must run the factory gas tank.
You must run track gas.
You may disconnect throttle stop screw.
You may only bolt on a chain guard and throttle kit.
You may unplug the oil sensor.
You may vent the gas cap.
Check valve must be used in gas tank top.
Winner’s engine may be protested by any racer in the field immediately after their race.( $75. Tech man gets $25)
Only the driver and 2 others allowed in tech area.
Anyone who refuses a protest will lose 100 points or a $100 fine.
Claim Rule: Stock Predator $200 Limited Predator $250 If you refuse to sell, you lose100 points or $100 fine.

BRUNSWICK SPEEDWAY ENGINE PROTEST RULES (Clones)
Only the race winner may be protested. The driver protesting must have on his/her self a signed, written statement of protest and $100 cash. This is to be presented to the scale attendant immediately upon completing the race. The race winner must immediately accept or refuse the protest. If found legal the driver being protested receives $75. If found illegal, the protester is refunded $75.
The engine cannot leave the tech area until checked- unless tech seals the engine- which will allow for it to be run in another class.
During tech procedure only one representative for each side will be allowed in the tech building.
Track Rules 2021
Though not associated with WKA, Brunswick Speedway will use the WKA Tech manual for most rules. SOME EXCEPTIONS INCLUDE:
*Tire prep will be allowed. Open flames of any type will not be allowed.
*Any weights >7 lbs to be secured by a 3/8” bolt or two 5/16” bolts and all weights must be double-nutted or cotter keyed or safety wired.
*The front faring specifications (shape of faring and protective strips) will not be followed by Brunswick Speedway.
**Recaps NOT permitted.
**All WKD rule changes after the initial annual Tech Manual has been issued must be approved by the Tech Committee and communicated to the Organization Membership before going into effect.
**Clone motor tech will be per National Karting Alliance (NKA) rules/No claim rule
**6” Champ Karts seat rule will be measured from the middle of the seat to left inside of nerf bar.
**Champ Kart Seat Belts: Belts must have dated SFI tag visible, be in good condition with no fraying or tears, and be no older than (4) four years old
** Helmets: Snell 2005M helmets are NOT acceptable for 2021 for Sprint and Champ karts. Snell 2010M and Snell 2015M are acceptable for Sprint karts but NOT acceptable for Champ karts (must be Snell 2010 or 2015 SA or SAH). Snell CMR and MCS 2007 Youth helmets are acceptable for Sprint and Champ karts.
** NO helmet mounted cameras allowed.
** Kart must have a current inspection decal before entering the track.
** Drivers must wear helmet, gloves, long pants, long sleeves (jackets preferred). Good shoes (NO open toe).
**All karts must have clutch guards
** All Clones must run Billet flywheels.
** All Champ karts must have a check valve in gas tank.
** Restrictor plates are a safety precaution- there is NO tolerance in hole size.
** One or All karts in any restrictor plate class may be checked at any time.
**Gear ratios may be checked the same way.
**The penalty for an illegal plate is – DQ for that race and a loss of 100 points.
** Rough driving will not be tolerated.
** Driver will be held responsible for unsportsmanlike conduct of anyone in his/her pit.
**All drivers must be entered into a class before practicing. NO registration refunds after first practice.
** Relief driver must be approved by scorers.
** Twenty (20) laps or 20 minutes per class.
** Three (3) spin rule. If you bring out 3 cautions you will be sent to the pits.
** All karts will be required to have 4 legible numbers on the kart to be scored. If Scoring determines the numbers are non-legible the karter will have to change the numbers as to the approval of Scoring before being allowed to participate. If in doubt, check with scorekeepers prior to heats. Having 4 numbers that are readable by Scorers is a pre tech requirement. Chrome numbers, red numbers on black or black numbers on red or blue are not permitted. If competitor’s numbers are found unreadable by officials, the competitor will be notified and will be required to change them to something that is readable before the problem kart is raced. Approved numbers are mandatory and must be installed before the kart can be approved in pre tech.
** Points are determined by the number of entries in the class. Competitors must run at least one (1) green flag lap in a race and weigh in correctly to receive points for that race.

At times we have only one entry for a class. This entrant will receive a decal for participating, not a first place trophy.
**Eligibility for 2021 year-end Championship jacket/trophy awards: A class must average 3 karts per race and driver must run a minimum of 15 points races in a given class. Competitors must run at least one green flag lap in the race and weight in correctly to receive points for that race. Brunswick Speedway allows for one (1) dropped race for the year, excluding double points race or race for which DQ’d for unsportsmanlike conduct, unapproved gas or oil.
**Rain out policy: Once practice starts it is considered a race (per insurance company).
All registered for classes will receive 15 points per class.

** Reserved pit parking spaces are available at a cost of $50 a season for all regular points races.(Does not include special races).

Mini Cup Car Rules Brunswick Speedway
-All drivers must be approved by track official.
-All drivers are responsible for their actions and that of their crew members.
-Assumption of risk: Racing is a dangerous sport that can result in serious injury or death. Participation in all aspects of the sport is strictly voluntary. Responsibility for safety lies with the participants, whether car owner, driver or crew member, and acknowledge they may suffer bodily injury or death, or loss or damage to property. All participants must further acknowledge that they voluntarily assume the risk of bodily injury or loss or damage to property and waive any claims for bodily injury or death or loss or damage to property against Brunswick Speedway, its parent companies, employees, event officials, sponsors, racetrack and other participants; discharges such persons and entities from responsibility for such losses; and covenants not to sue such persons and entities for bodily injury or death or loss or damage to property.
Safety equipment-Driver is responsible for compliance of all safety rules.
Regardless of equipment, or approval in a prior inspection, compliance with all safety rules is mandatory for all cars and an inspection can be repeated at any time.
-No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from the technical inspection or approval .
- SEAT- All cars must be fitted with a seat that fits the driver’s physical characteristics. No homemade seats. All seats must be securely mounted in the center line of the vehicle. Seats must be mounted using grade 8 fasteners.
-Safety Harness- All belts and harnesses must be of the five (SJ-point type). Have a minimum SFI rating of 16.1. Be at least two (2)inches wide. Three (3) inches wide is recommended. Be dated by the manufacturer and no more than 3 years old. A quick-release seat lap belt is required. Both ends of the lap belt must be fastened to the roll cage with grade 8 bolts and not less than 3/8 inch in diameter.
-Head Restraint- A head restraint system designed specifically for auto racing is mandatory for all drivers. A neck collar is recommended. No driver shall compete in any event with head or arm extended outside of the car opening. All drivers must wear a racing type helmet with a Snell rating of SA2000 or newer. All drivers must wear an approved driving suit, shoes and gloves. A single layer fire suit is the minimum permitted.
A standard fire extinguisher mounted in the driver’s compartment is mandatory and must be easily accessible to the driver.
-Engine rules- Anything not listed means STOCK.
All OHV GX390 Honda components from approved engines must be original OEM items in their stock state unless otherwise specified. GX390 small ports and large ports are allowed. No porting, blasting or no modification of any kind on head ports. Carburetor no go from air horn is 1.033. Carburetor no go from port side is 1.0635. Throttle shaft min. is .148. Butterfly min is .0375 and butterfly screw min is .252. Choke butterfly and shaft may be removed and holes filled in with silicon. Carburetor must remain in stock form. May be compared to a stock Honda carb for inspection. No air filter extensions. Jet size main .043 max low speed jet no tech on size but must look stock Single valve springs .795 max inside diameter. Max wire size is .115. Max spring length is 1.605 Rocker arms are Honda OEM round style only. No flat rockers allowed. Billit rod stock length. Flywheel minimum 10 pound. Only track fuel is permitted. Cam may lift 277 off push rod. 240 max lift at 50 degrees.
-Body- All cars must have floor pans. All bodies must be styled to resemble a traditional stock car/truck racing body. No open wheel bodies. Both windows must have nets. Side view mirrors cannot extend beyond the widest part of the car body.
You may reserve your car number for a fee of $10 each. Numbers must be legible and at least twelve (12) inches high, located on both sides of the car.
-Chassis- A car, in race-condition with driver, must weigh 740 lbs. Ballast must be painted white and must be marked with the car’s number. If the ballast is lost during the event, that competitor will be disqualified from that event and no points or payout will be awarded. The ignition shut-off switch must be labeled to show on and off. Switches must be installed on the left side of the steering column.
Battery must remain in its stock location just ahead of the left rear tire.
-Suspension- A combination of 4 shocks non adjustable. One shock, one spring per corner.
-The track- No treaded tires. Slicks only. Tires must test 50 or above on Durometer when coming off the track. 6 inch wide wheels only.
Must use track gas only. Fuel will be tested.
